Sage Riders
My second race back, and first NHHA race post injury. My goal was to ride my own race, but shortly off the bomb I dropped in behind my competitor Ashlee Gage.  We played some tag back and forth on loop one, it felt good to be able to hang and I even held a good pace in front of her for a while.
The first loop was very technical, and dusty - it was a challenging and tiring 40 miles.
Coming into pits I was 2 minutes behind, but already feeling gassed and soreness in my hip - I realized I needed to slow the pace down if I was going to finish.
I hadn't put in 80 miles in a long time!  I hit a wall loop two and fell off the pace, basically limped myself along to the finish but was excited to hear I had earned a podium spot as 3rd Woman A.
Getting back to racing has been so fun & having a crew to celebrate success with and support one another. My bike handled amazing thanks to Division Suspension West and Donnie at D&K Motorsports who is a blessing to us and bringing our dirt bike family together!
